Join us as we HIKE Out of Poverty, bringing health care, clean water, education, and economic opportunities to impoverished communities in Latin America. Concern America trains people to be health care providers, build water systems, be teachers, and form income-generating cooperatives in their own communities. Our sister/daughter/aunt Teri lived in Guatemala and Colombia for over three years working with Concern, and she experienced first hand the incredible work that people are doing to bring health, water, and opportunities to their communities.
Your support will go a long way! Last year, our team raised $1,000, enough to fully train 1 health practitioner, who then successfully treats over 80% of the health needs in the community. This means diabetes care, tendon repairs, malaria treatment, and so much more for thousands of people previously without access to any health care services. This year we hope to do the same.
On Saturday, April 6, our family will be gathering at the Santa Fe Trailhead at Palmer Lake at 9am. If you are in the area, please join us!!
About Concern America:
Concern America is a globally-focused community development organization that transforms need into self-sufficiency in economically impoverished regions so that community members themselves are the agents of change.
