Vamos à praia!
(Let’s go to the beach!)
We’re walking (and one of us will be chasing tennis balls) at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach on Saturday, April 4 as part of Concern America’s annual Walk Out of Poverty. We’re committed to Concern’s mission to transform need into self-sufficiency; our work is currently focused on Colombia, Guatemala, and Mexico.
If we can meet our goal of $2,500, that’s enough to train two local health promoter practitioners! Which means healthier newborns and moms, better diabetes care and management, and even tendon repair. All that — with still another $500 left to do more good, like supporting artisan cooperatives and environmental health projects.
You can donate here or send your check directly to Concern America, PO Box 190, Santa Ana, CA 92702.
If you donate by check, be sure to write “Little Papi” in the memo line.
Not that we’re competitive or anything.
