Xavi & Mya will be walking for the 5th year at the Walk Out of Poverty along with our St. Columban School Family. This is an opportunity for our children to not only be grateful for being able to have the basic necessities but most importantly for them to practice charity and be able to give to those in most need. The purpose of us walking with Concern America at the annual Walk Out of Poverty is to bring health care, clean water, education, and economic opportunities to impoverished communities in Latin America. Concern America transforms need into self-sufficiency and believes in health care, clean water, education, and economic opportunity for every community worldwide. They actively engage the communities and train their members to become health care providers, water system builders, teachers, and cooperative business members.
Fun Fact: $100 = Clean water for a person for 15-20 years!!
