St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare is walking once again with Concern America in the annual Walk Out of Poverty to bring health care, clean water, education, and economic opportunities to impoverished communities in Latin America. Concern America trains people to be health care providers, build water systems, be teachers, and form income-generating cooperatives in their own communities.
Join us on April 4, by walking or sponsoring us (or both!)
We have partnered with Concern America for many years and continue to support them! Our physicians and volunteers travel annually to teach and empower people to become their own providers. Concern America speaks closely to our value of Justice – to advocate for systems and structures that are attuned to the needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged and that promote a sense of community among all persons. This is a great way to make a difference in our global community!
Two Ways to Donate:
1. Donate Online on our Fundraiser Page www.walk.concernamerica.org/campaigns/st-joseph-heritage-healthcare/
2. See your COAC member at your site to make a donation
If you can’t join the walk, we encourage you to please support us with a donation. Last year we were able to raise more than $2,000.00 as an organization!
About Concern America:
Concern America is a globally-focused community development organization that transforms need into self-sufficiency in economically impoverished regions so that community members themselves are the agents of change.
